Breaking News: Bridge collapses in Dubai marina

I heard people talking about a bridge under construction in dubai that collapsed just few minutes ago. The only news website that talked about this is the BBC. The only known thing until now is that 7 workers died and 15 are injured.

PICURLS: See what photo’s the world is seeing… !!

As you know there is a number of social news/bookmarking websites such as Reddit, Digg, Del.icio.us and StumbleUpon. People share articles, websites, photos, videos and so on. Digg already announced that they will be having a special section only for images but it still didnt happen.

Here comes PICURLS, basically this website pulls all the top photos of the day from Digg, Reddit, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, Flickr, Simpy, Furl, Boing Boing and Wired. You can also subscribe to the RSS feeds for the pictures from each website or from all of the websites.

But PICURLS still have space for improvement, the 2 main drawbacks that i can see is that there is no community, none of the images has any comments, at least for the past few days, all what i can see is the number “0” beside each image. The second thing is that when you click on the link it sends you to the source not the page of the website such as Digg and Reddit, i am not if this being done out of fear that maybe Digg or Reddit wont allow this to happen.

Anyway, in general this is a very nice website, and one day it could become something if it kept on developing.

Obama makes a little girl cry, well not really… but you know FOX News!!

I know I know expect anything from FOX News, but really I am amazed that people actually watch this channel and freakin believe a word it says. Anyway I was chatting online and people were saying that Barack Obama made a little girl cry, i said come on!! i mean its not impossible but why and how, so I search the net, and i reach to mediamatters.org, and get the full picture.

What actually happened is that in Fox News America’s Newsroom co-host Megyn Kelly teased an upcoming story by saying “Well, in other news, Barack Obama makes a little girl cry. What? That story … in five minutes.”, and then later co-host Bill Hemmer corrected the story that Obama actually took questions from the 5 year old hadasah jones after she shed some tears and got his attention.

So its just business as usual in FOX News, misleading and false news…

EURO 2008 Exclusively on Aljazeera Sport Channels

Aljazeera Sport channels announced today that they have won the exclusive coverage of EURO 2008 on their channels in the middle east. And that there is no way they will be selling those rights to any other networks in the region, and they promised their subscribers a very high quality coverage.

Euro 2008 will take place in Austria and Switzerland from the 7th to the 29th June 2008.

The Channel also announced that “Aljazeera Sport +3” will start on January 2008 which will be mostly used for Clubs Channels such as Chelsea TV and Manchester City TV and so on. The channels will also increase their transmission hours from 50 to 75 hours daily, so “JSC1” will be 24 hours and “JSC2” 12 hours, and “JSC+1” 24 hours and “JSC+2” 12 hours.

So all good news…. maybe now we will forgive them the headaches they gave us in the Spanish league and losing a part of the Italian league to ART.

Al-Qaeda burned California ?!??! Are you kidding me ?!

 As usual I was reading different kind of news from here and there, and I was amazed when I read an article that states that FOX News and ONLY FOX News are blaming Al-Qaeda for the wildfires in California, well to be honest I dont watch FOX News I mean although am not an American but I watch MSNBC, CNN, the news hours on ABC, CBS, NBC just exactly how i watch BBC NEWS, Sky News, France 24, Euronews, Alarabiya, Aljazeera, and Aljazeera English and so on, but I don’t watch FOX News. Do I need to tell you why ?! oh you know already ok … so back to the Al-Qaeda big plan again, so I kept reading in shock, and in my mind i am still saying this cant be true, but in the end of the article a video that shows how FOX News are so fucking smart.
